Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a beautiful holiday season. Although I didn’t have an extended of time off of work, the short work weeks and numerous family gatherings makes it feel as if I haven’t had a typical work-week in forever. Deadlines are looming so it’s time to get back in the swing of things tomorrow. I’m excited to hit the ground running on some great projects and look forward to an exciting new year. I’m not a big NYE person, and I think that’s why I’m not into resolutions. I am, however, into continuously setting goals to challenge myself and have rewards to look forward to as well. I’ll be getting started on simple goals this week (and sharing them along the way) as well as working towards larger goals like saving for another amazing trip with the hubs (location still TBD), and continuing to train for the upcoming half-marathon.
As we packed away the holiday decorations this morning and delivered that last lingering gift I found myself reflecting on what a crazy busy, and exciting year I had. I started this blog, worked for myself for 10 months, completed some fantastic interiors projects including the Bluewater Grill on Catalina Island and visited projects in places I had never been like Palm Springs, CA and Molokai, HI, attended my first New York Fashion Week, moved into our new home, traveled to France and Irelend with the hubs, returned to an office environment in the corporate world, launched Charmed-mag, and met some truly amazing and inspiring people along the way. Here are some favorite moments and events from 2013:
New York Fashion Week and braving the first and only selfies posted on the blog.
Bluewater Grill, Avalon CA. Sculptures by the amazing talented team at The Principals.
Shooting, styling, and ultimately launching Charmed-mag.
The beautiful and talented Julia of Lemon Stripes in her gorgeous home.
The super talented Monica of The Elgin Avenue was Charmed-Mag’s first featured blogger.
I could keep adding and this post would go on for way too long, so let’s give 2013 one last look and move forward excitedly into 2014!!!
What are you most looking forward to this year?
