Want it Wednesday (on Thursday)

It’s Thursday people.  Most of you probably already knew that, but i managed to go through my entire day yesterday thinking it was Tuesday, so surprise to me this morning.  That being said, here’s Wednesday’s post…on Thursday.

It’s 5 degrees and we’re covered in snow, so this is a practical one, so to speak.  Quality snow/rain boots that are toasty warm – sorry Hunter, but my toes feel like I’m going to fall off when I wear you even with the 2″ thick socks.  Plus, they’re cute enough to keep on all day!  They’re not cheap for something with the sole purpose of being exposed to terrible conditions, but if you’re an East Coaster you well know that they’re worth it at this point.  I just came from walking 2 new construction houses and I was just dreaming that these were on my feet.  Instead, it took the hour car ride home for my poor toes to defrost.  If I’m being truthful I want a few others things this week, namely a remote starter for my car, and a trip to a tropical island.

Have a fab rest of the week.  xoxo J

Looking back…

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a beautiful holiday season.  Although I didn’t have an extended of time off of work, the short work weeks and numerous family  gatherings makes it feel as if I haven’t had a typical work-week in forever.  Deadlines are looming so it’s time to get back in the swing of things tomorrow.  I’m excited to hit the ground running on some great projects and look forward to an exciting new year.  I’m not a big NYE person, and I think that’s why I’m not into resolutions.  I am, however, into continuously setting goals to challenge myself and have rewards to look forward to as well.  I’ll be getting started on simple goals this week (and sharing them along the way) as well as working towards larger goals like saving for another amazing trip with the hubs (location still TBD), and continuing to train for the upcoming half-marathon.

As we packed away the holiday decorations this morning and delivered that last lingering gift I found myself reflecting on what a crazy busy, and exciting year I had.  I started this blog, worked for myself for 10 months, completed some fantastic interiors projects including the Bluewater Grill on Catalina Island and visited projects in places I had never been like Palm Springs, CA and Molokai, HI, attended my first New York Fashion Week, moved into our new home, traveled to France and Irelend with the hubs, returned to an office environment in the corporate world, launched Charmed-mag, and met some truly amazing and inspiring people along the way.  Here are some favorite moments and events from 2013:

I could keep adding and this post would go on for way too long, so let’s give 2013 one last look and move forward excitedly into 2014!!!

What are you most looking forward to this year?

Photo Shoot Faves

We had a big photo shoot at Charmed-mag this weekend.  You’ll have to wait until the launch November 11th to get all of the who, what, and where do I buy info, but for now we thought we’d share some of our favorite pulls.  We can’t wait to show you how we used all of these beauties and to tell you where to go and get them for yourselves!
